About Agaricus Bisporus 

Agaricus bisporus is an edible basidiomycete mushroom. In a 100-gram serving, raw white mushrooms provide 22 kilocalories of food energy and are an excellent source of the B vitamins, riboflavin, niacin, and pantothenic acid.

However, Agaricus bisporus is not easy to preserve, browning occurs at room temperature for 1-2 days, and preservation can only be kept for a few days. Therefore, in the industrial production process of Agaricus bisporus, drying and dehydration is a good process.

 

Traditional Agaricus bisporus drying process

Common Agaricus bisporus drying process include natural dry and traditional drying room or hot air drying.

Natural drying can save the cost, but climate influence is an obviously disadvantages.

Traditional drying room with coal or wood as fuel, the hygiene of drying process cannot meet the requirements of food production. If use hot air drying, which is heated by electricity or steam, more energy consumption occurs.

Now, a novel drying and dehydration technology is coming. Heat pump drying machine can keep well the bisporus original color, flavor and nutrition with less power consumption.

 

Heat pump dryer features

Heat pump dryer, both operated with open-loop or closed-loop air circulation, all are basis on substantial absorbed heat from ambient or the exhaust humidity air, and then release to heat the drying air again. Only compressor consume a few power, obviously, energy saving is available. 

Agaricus bisporus Heat Pump Drying Process  

1st, Airing and Specify Shape stage,Large amount of air, continuous exhaust of moisture, set up drying temperature of 35℃ and drying time of 3 hours.

2nd, low temperature drying stage, set up drying temperature of around 40℃ and drying time of 2 hours. Keep the relative humidity less than 70%.

3rd , medium temperature drying stage, set up drying temperature of around 45℃ and drying time of 2 hours. Keep the relative humidity less than 70%.

4th, set up drying temperature of 50±1℃ and drying time of 2 hours. Keep the relative humidity less than 60%. 

5th, set up drying temperature of 55±1℃ and drying time of 2 hours. Keep the relative humidity less than 45%.

6th, set up drying temperature of 60±1℃ and drying time of 2 hours. Keep the relative humidity less than 25-%.

7th, tune off the compressor, start the internal circulation dehumidification fans around 1 hour. When relative humidity reaches at 20%, it means all drying process is completed.
